Managing Rostering Preferences

We are continually looking at improving the productivity tools available in Brevity. One tasks that can be time consuming is matching appropriate staff to clients both from a compliance and cost perspective. We have improved the staff matching in Brevity to more easily identify recommended staff.

Rostering Priority

Rostering priority allows you to prioritise certain types of employees over others. This allows, for example, full time or part time staff with availability to be prioritised over casual staff. This priority can be set on the Employment Type record.

Client Required Qualifications

Another important compliance consideration is ensuring only suitably qualified staff are considered for jobs where the client has special needs. Brevity allows you to set both Minimum Classification requirements as well as Required Qualifications via the client profile.

These restrictions can be Override on the shift with a reason.

Staff Matching in Brevity

Based on the client needs and rostering preferences, Brevity is able to recommend preferred care workers. In addition to the checked mentioned above, and staff availability, the system will also prioritise Client Assigned care workers, care workers that have worked with the client previously, as well as care workers closest to the client, to reduce travel.

Publishing Available Shifts

The recommended worker matching has also been extended to the available shift publish feature, which allows the rosterer to select which staff they want to make the shift available to. You can read more via the link below.
