Brevity Mobile App minimum phone version and resolution

Before you can run the Brevity Mobile App, you need to check the android version of your device. Brevity mobile app is supported on Android with at least version 5 and iOS with at least version 9.

Checking a Support Worker Phone and App Version

If a support worker is experiencing issues with the mobile app, it is important to check both the phone version to ensure it is supported, as well as the Brevity app version to ensure they have the latest version. This can be done via the employee dashboard on their profile.

Familiarizing with Android Versions

There are different kind of Android Version. Each version has a required hardware (the components inside your mobile phone) before it could run a specific android version. This is the list of available Android version as of 2020:

From the table, the lowest version of Android is version 1.5 and the latest version is 9.0. Brevity Mobile App cannot run if the Android version of your device is lower than 6.0. The versions that are highlighted in red are versions that cannot run the Brevity Mobile App.

Checking on your Android Version

Each device has a different way on how to check their android version. Please search on the internet on how to check your Android Version. The example below is checking on the android version from Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) Mobile phone.

From the list of applications, locate the settings and tap on it

It will list all the settings of your device. Look for the About phone menu and then tap on it.

This page will display all the information of your device. Look for the Software Information menu and tap on it.

This page will show you the Android Version that your device is running.

Familiarizing with iOS version

iOS is the system that is being used by Apple. There are different versions of iOS. The first version is iPhone OS1 and the latest version as of 2019 is the iOS 12. Brevity Mobile App requires at least iOS 9. Like Android devices, if your device has lower than iOS 9, Brevity cannot run in that device.

Checking for iOS version

You can check for your device iOS version by tapping on the settings from the list of applications.

You will see the settings page of iOS. From the left side of the setting page, tap on the General tab.

Click on the About tab from the right side of the general settings page.

This page will show you the details of you iOS device. Look for the version section from the list to get the iOS version that your device is running.

Screen Resolution / Zoomed View

If your mobile phone has a small screen resolution, this would be one of the main factor why you cannot see the fonts and icons in Brevity Software. You need to have at least 1024 X 768 screen resolution. If you have the minimum resolution and your mobile phone is zoomed to a larger text and icons, then you need to adjust your zoom view until you could see the icons and text correctly.
