Rostering Branches

This page provides guidance on establishing and managing Branch Rostering against the employee profile and updating the branch scheduling setting on the organisation record.

Introduction

If your Brevity instance has been configured with more than two branches, you have the option of associating the employee with multiple branches. Branch rostering allows you to schedule client services to an employee, where the Main Branch value listed against the client profile is different to that listed on the employee profile.

Branch Rostering

Linking multiple branches to the Employee

To establish branch rostering on the employee (user) profile observe the following steps:

  1. Retrieve the applicable employee as per the steps outlined under the topics Create an Employee record and Edit an Employee Record.

  2. Scroll the client page down to the Branch Roster panel.

  3. Click the Link Record icon located above the Rostering Branch data-grid to make visible a drop down field listing branch values.

  4. From the drop down list either input in free text or select from the listed values the applicable branch that is to be assigned to the employee profile.

  5. Once done, click on the save button within the ribbon bar to save your changes.

  6. Click on the close button to exit back to the User List page.

Unlinking Branches

To remove a rostering branch from the employee profile click the Remove Link icon.

Disabling branch Rostering

Brevity by default will enable employee branch rostering, although the feature will not be noticeable unless your organisation is maintaining two or more branch records. To disable branch rostering observe the following steps:

  1. Select the Administration>Branch setup sub menu to open the branch page into the browser.

  2. Position your cursor into the organisation field and click to open a drop down list.

  3. Select the Edit Selected Record icon, to open the organisation page into the browser

  4. Within the Enable Branch Scheduling field set the field value to No.

  5. Select the save button to set your changes against the organisation record.

  6. Select the close button to exit the page.

Utilising the branch scheduling for staff allocation

Where your organisation is operating two or more branches you will observe that if you have enabled branch scheduling only those employees that have been rostered with the same branches as your clients will be available through the Add Shift screen for assignment to client services.

In the example to the right, branch scheduling has been set to YES within the organisation record, there are multiple branches, however the branch rostering data grid on the employee profile has not been updated with the particulars of the branch associated with the client.

In the example to the right, branch scheduling has been set to NO within the organisation record, and in the presence of multiple branches, all support workers are available for assignment to the client service.
