Introduction
Goals are things that the participant wants to achieve with support from the NDIS and as well as the supports and services received from the NDIS service provider. The presence of goals enables the client to achieve the agreed objectives of their NDIS plan.
The Client goals are located on the client record under the Client Goals panel. The Goals that are assigned to participants will be reflected within the Client Goals data-grid.

Navigating the Client Goals Page
Creating a Client's Goal
To create a Client Goal observe the following steps:
Select the Clients>Clients sub-menu to open the Client List page into the browser.
Search for the Client record from within the Client list.
Highlight the Client record to be edited.
Either click on the edit button or double click on the Client record to open it within the Client page.
Using the vertical scroll bar, slide the client page until you reach the Client Goals panel.
Select the Add New Record icon to open the Client Goal record page within the browser.
Within the Name field input the purpose of the goal.
Within the Goal field select from the drop down list the appropriate goal that the client would like to achieve.
If you find that the required goal is not listed then a new goal can be added by selecting :+: icon located at the bottom right of the list to open the New Goal Record page, as shown below. Input the Goal name, under the Goal details panel and save the record.
You have the option of adding tasks that would need to be undertaken to achieve the goal that is being set for the client. To do this select the :+: icon to open the New Goal Task Page within the browser, specify the task name, save and close the record. Repeat this process until all tasks have been created.
Close the New Goal record.
Within the Start date field input the date that the client would like to commence achieving the nominate goal.
Within the End date field input the date that the client would like the goal achieved by.
If there are third parties involved in the participant achieving their goals, input a description of stakeholder responsibilities or involvement into the following fields listed under the Responsible Parties panel.

Click the SAVE button to create the client goal record.
Click the CLOSE button.
Editing the Client's Goal
Edits on the client goal record would be confined to either updating the End Date, or the data fields listed under the status and responsible party information panels. To edit a Client Goal observe the following steps:
Select the Clients>Clients sub-menu to open the Client List page into the browser.
Search for the Client record from within the Client list.
Highlight the Client record to be edited.
Either click on the edit button or double click on the Client record to open it within the Client page.
Using the vertical scroll bar, slide the client page until you reach the Client Goals panel.
Highlight and double click the Client Goal record to open it within the Client Goal page within the browser.
Update the changes to the record.
If your edits relate to the goal status and you are reporting the goal has been achieved ensure that you update the date achieved and assign an appropriately worded narrative within the achievement comments field.
Click the SAVE button to update the client goal record.
Click the CLOSE button.
Deleting the Client's Goal
Although not recommended, and you are referred to the notes on record deactivation, to delete a Client Goal record observe the following steps, off which there are two approaches available. Please note that the removal of a goal from the client profile does not delete the goal template

Deleting from the Client Goals data-grid
Select the Clients>Clients sub-menu to open the Client List page into the browser.
Search for the Client record from within the Client list.
Highlight the Client record to be edited.
Either click on the edit button or double click on the Client record to open it within the Client page.
Using the vertical scroll bar, slide the client page until you reach the Client Goals panel.
Highlight the Goal that is to be deleted.
Select the Delete icon located to the right of the record to present a pop-up screen
Select OK to confirm the deletion. The Client Goal data-grid will automatically refresh.
Deleting from the Client Goals record
Refer to steps 1 - 5 as listed above.
From the Client Goals data-grid, highlight and double click on the goal record to open the Edit Client Goal record page within the browser.
Select the DELETE button from the ribbon bar
Select OK to confirm the deletion.
Select the CLOSE button to exit the page
Activate and Deactivate a Client Goals
To edit the activity status of a Client Goals record observe the following steps:
Select the Clients>Clients sub-menu to open the Client List page into the browser.
Search for the Client record from within the Client list.
Highlight the Client record to be edited.
Either click on the edit button or double click on the Client record to open it within the Client page.
Using the vertical scroll bar, slide the client page until you reach the Client Goals panel.
From the Client Goals data-grid, highlight and double click on the goal record to open the Edit Client Goal record page within the browser.
To deactivate the Client Goal record select the Deactivate button, upon screen refresh the input fields will be disabled. The Deactivated Goal will be retained within the data-grid.
To activate the Client Goal record select the Activate button.
Once done, you can exit back to the Client profile.
Client Goal Report
To support the organisation is the management and tracking of the participants goals, the Brevity web application is configured with a Client Goals report. This report is accessed through the Client>Reports sub menu. For additional information on generating this report refer to the Client Reporting topic
