Service Restrictions matched to an employee qualification

The assignment of qualification restrictions on the Service type allows the NDIS provider to determine the skills and experience that are required by the community care worker for delivery of the client service or provision of the client support.

Applying restrictions to community support workers when rostering services will be applied by matching the qualifications records registered into the qualification record grids on both the service type and the employee.

Apply a Qualification Restriction

To apply a qualification restriction to an existing service type observe the following steps:

1. Select the Administration>Service Type sub-menu to open the Service Type List page.

2. Within the search field input the particulars of the service type.

3. Highlight the Service Type record that is to be reviewed and either click on the edit button or double-click on the Service Type record.

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and set the restrict by Qualification field to ‘Yes’. This will make visible the the qualification datagrid.

5. Click the icon to open above the qualification datagrid a drop down field.

6. Within the drop down field either select or input partially or in full the name of the qualification.

7. Select the qualification matching within the list.

Override a Qualification Restriction

The override of qualification restrictions on the service type is managed through the Override Minimum and Maximum Classification fields. The value input will be based upon the value listed within the employee classification field of the employee profile. When specifying a classification restrict the input to the level number, for example 3.1.
