SIL Attributes

This page provides an overview on the maintenance of SIL attributes within the Service Type record.

These are the topics on this page:

Introduction

Brevity is configured with the following placeholder SIL service types. The NDIS item number to be used will be 01_801_0115_1_1 for SIL accommodation arrangements and SIL irregular supports. Once your SIL services have been configured they can be assigned into a pricelist (either product standard or custom) and against the participants funding profile.

Establishing SIL Attributes

When establishing Support Independent Living (SIL) service types that will be accessed from within the SIL template you must ensure that in addition to an appropriately worded description (name) for the service type and the applicable pricelist item number (code) that attributes are assigned into the Max Employee, SIL Employee Ratio, color Code and SIL Code fields. For irregular SIL supports you must ensure that the claim type reflects Irregular SIL Supports.

Key fields when defining the SIL Service Type

A

Ensure an appropriate NDIS pricelist item number has been specified.

B

Ensure appropriate description for the SIL service has been specified. This will ensure assignment against the client funding record and SIL template. Ideally this will include the wording SIL and the employee to participant ratio. For irregular SIL supports include this in the description.

C

Ensure an appropriate colour has been specified. If your using the NDIS Provider SIL Tool ensure the colours on the employee to participant ratios match.

D

Ensure the SIL ratio has been set for employees and participants.

E

Ensure the SIL employee ration has been set.
