Manage Shift Notes

This page provides the support worker with guidance on registering notes against the client service.

 

Introduction

The Brevity Care mobile application enables support workers to record a progress note against a client shift. Depending upon an organisations' settings, notes against a shift can be optional or mandatory. Brevity will alert the support worker if entry of a note is mandatory to complete a shift.


Registering a shift note

To create a progress note against a client shift:

  1. From the shift panel select the > button to open the client shift.

  2. Scroll down to the notes field to input your progress note, if you require additional space click the icon to open the notes field. Click the icon to revert the field back to its original size.

  3. To update the shift with the progress note and to exit back to the dashboard select the Save button located at the top right of the shift screen. You will observe on the shift panel a icon that confirm the presence of a note on the client shift.

     


Voice Recording shift notes

Brevity allows for progress notes to be be recorded against the client shift using the voice recording features of the mobile device. If for some reason the icon does not work on your mobile device, you can utilise the icon on your mobile device keyboard. Depending on the mobile device being used you may be prompted to grant brevity access to your microphone. To record a voice note observe the following steps:

 

  1. Clicking on the icon to open your phones voice recognition software. You can now speak so the voice recognition could convert your speech to text. Brevity will prompt you that voice recognition has been enabled.

  2. To conclude your dictation select the icon. The Notes field will be updated with the content of your speech.

  3. To update the shift with the progress note and to exit back to the dashboard select the Save button located at the top right of the shift screen. You will observe on the shift panel a icon that confirm the presence of a note on the client shift.
