CHSP DEX Extract

The DEX Extract allows service providers to report their service delivery information and demonstrate the outcomes they are achieving for their clients. Data is reported through to the Department of Social Services (DSS) bi annually for the periods 1 January – 30 June and 1 July – 31 December.

Depending upon how your organisations Brevity application is configured, the extract will be located either under the Administration, Care Management or HCP/CHSP menu.

The DEX interface by default allows for providers to submit their extract electronically using webservices API credentials, if you do not have credentials, please contact brevity so that an open interface can be configured that will allow the organisation to download client and funding agreement data in an XML format.

To generate a DEX Upload file through the DEX interface using the webservices API click the CONNECT button to display the SAVE API Credentials dialogue. On first use you will need specify your API Credentials, this will require setting the environment as Staging or Production and inputting your assigned username and password. Saving your API Credentials will make them available for future DEX sessions.

Input your reporting date range, select the XML extract that will be generated and follow the screen instructions.

For those organisations that don’t have API credentials, please advise Brevity so that a modified DEX interface can be configured. Input your reporting date range , select the XML extract that will be generated and follow the screen instructions.

Excluding records from Extract

To exclude data from the XML output deselect those records from the Verify data page as shown above.
