Charts can be added to dashboards to display summarised information within the system. This tab will let you manage the chart information being displayed in the dashboard.

Managing Charts

In the Manage Chart window, you may add, edit or delete a chart information to be displayed. You may also search for a chart information in the "Search Field".

Adding/Editing Charts

The first screen you will see when adding or editing a chart is the chart property screen. This screen allows you to specify where the information will come from, what type of chart to display, as well as the filters and grouping options (legend field) for the chart.

Clicking the Save changes button will save the chart properties and will redirect you to the Chart Values screen that will allow you to add one or more series fields to the chart. For an in depth guide, please visit How to Add Chart Values.

Dashboard Charts

This section displays the listing of all the Charts added by you for the selected Chart with following details:

  • Title: Displays the Chart name.
  • Argument Field: Display the name of argument field selected at the time of Chart creation.
  • Type: Display the type of query selected at the time of Chart creation.
  • Action: You can take following actions on the created Chart:

  • Number of Entries per page: Select the number of entries for the Chart to be shown on the ‘Chart Listing’ page. Select any of the following to select no. of entries per page:
    • 10: If selected, 10 Charts per page will be displayed.
    • 25: If selected, 25 Charts per page will be displayed.
    • 50: If selected, 50 Charts per page will be displayed.
    • 100: If selected, 100 Charts per page will be displayed.

At the bottom of the list, you will be able to see the slot of the entries you are currently viewing.

  • Sort: Clicking on any of the column headers from the grid, you will be able to sort the listing in Ascending or Descending order.

  • Pagination: Pagination feature allows you to view the entries from all the pages if present. Clicking on the ‘Next’ button, the entries from the next page will be loaded and clicking on the ‘Previous’ button, the entries from the previous page will be loaded. You can view the entries of a specific page by clicking on the respective Page Number.

  • Back: You will be taken to the last page visited by clicking on ‘Image Modified’ button.

Searching a Chart

Search feature will allow you to quickly find the needed Chart(s).

You need to enter the search keywords in the below Search Input box and instantly the Charts list will be filtered as per the keywords and shows you the required Chart (s).

Deleting a Chart

You can delete the existing Chart by clicking on the ‘Delete’ button present across the script. Clicking on the ‘Delete’ button, you will be prompt for the Chart delete confirmation. Once you select ‘Continue’ option, the selected Chart will be deleted from the system.

Deleted Chart(s) cannot be retrieved again. Be sure before deleting.
