If you are the only administrator of Brevity, you can reduce of getting lock out by creating a dummy employee with administrator privilege. Once you changed your administrator account to another user type (super user, user, support worker), you cannot get the full access to Brevity and your account will be limited. If you changed your password and forgot the password, you need to contact the Brevity Administrator to reset your password or change your user type back to administrator.

Creating a dummy employee


You can create a dummy employee account by going to the employee from the main menu and then clicking on employee

You'll be redirected to the Employees list, in the upper left portion of the window select the "New Button",

Fill-out all the necessary information and then select the "Save Button" in the upper left portion of the screen to create a dummy employee record.

You need to input an information to the fields that have a red asterisk next to their field's name ( * ) . You cannot create a new employee's record if you don't put any information on these fields.

Assigning a Login to the Dummy Employee


Once you created a dummy account, you need to create the dummy employee's login. Click on the manage login on the upper portion of the employee page to start creating a login for the dummy employee.

Create a username for the dummy employee. Then type the password twice besides "password (change if required)" and "confirm password". Under the Role, select administrator so you will have the second administrator account.

If you forgot your username and password, you can login to your dummy account and go to the employee from the main menu and then click on the employee from the sub menu. Locate your name from the list of employee and then double click it (The first administrator account usually have the employee number 1). Click on the Manage login and then change your password or your role. Click on the Save Button to save the changes for your login.
