It is necessary to add work hours to update employee availability against employee record to make that employee available. Only available employees can be assigned to the schedules. If you assign unavailable employees then it won’t schedule shift and you will get shift in pending state. To setting work hours, Go to Work days section from employee page and select day availability and according timings

the Work Days panel of the employee profile. The Work Days panel allows you to set the days the employee will work, their earliest start and latest end time and whether they will be permitted to manage availability periods through the Brevity Care mobile application. The Days and hours set through this panel will influence the rostering of the employee to the client service through the schedule board.

Identifying Work Day Availability on the Schedule Board

Services that are either rostered on a non work day or outside the hours specified within the Start time and End time fields will be reflected as a pending service (yellow) whereas for those services where the support worker is rostered to the service on a work day or within the the hours specified within the Start time and End time fields the service will be reflected as either (scheduled) or (unpublished) subject to auto-publishing setting on the organisation record.
