Support Worker Community Feeds

This page provides an outline on how support workers can check news items and events through the Brevity care mobile app that have been published by admin user.

Introduction

The Feeds tab within the Brevity Care mobile application enables support workers to check via their mobile device News and Events, that have been published from the Brevity care web application. Support Workers can view the feed as well interact by acknowledging they have read it, liked it, reviewed attachments or assigned comments to the feed.

Navigate the Feeds Tab

The fields and labels that comprise the Feeds page include:

Feed Type: This area of the feed displays whether the feed is related to News or an Event. This type is setup by the publisher.
Featured: This area of the feed displays whether the feed is featured or not. A featured feed gets pinned to the top of the feed listing page. If there are multiple featured feeds then, the latest one gets pinned to the top.
Feed Details: This area of the feed displays the feed heading, associated description and pictures related to the feed. You can click anywhere on the feed details section to open the particular feed.
Publisher: This area of the feed displays the name of feed publisher along with the publish date and time.
Like: This area of the feed displays, allows the to like the feed by tapping on the heart symbol. Liked feed will set the heart color to red.
Picture: This area of the feed displays the picture associated with the feed.
Back: You can click on back button to get back on the feeds listing page.
Feed Heading: This area of the feed displays the feed heading.
Feed Details: This area of the feed displays the feed description.
Read More: You can click on read more link to continue reading the hidden description of the feed.
Confirm Read: If there is a required read, the application will ask you to confirm that the feed has been read. Confirmation that the feed has been read records your details as you have read the particular feed.
Documents: This area of the feed displays any attached documents associated with the feed.
Like: This area of the feed allows the Support Worker to the like the feed.
Comments: This area of the feed allows the Support Worker to type comments for the feed. To publish the comment click the → Arrow.

In regards to published comments please be aware that that these will be displayed to all Support Workers and support workers that are associated to the same community for which the feed is published.

Reviewing a feed

To review a feed observe the following steps:

Access the Brevity Care mobile app using your Support Worker login credentials.
Tap the Feed tab in the bottom navigation bar.
Click on the feed tab, to display a list of active feeds.
Review the feed and any attached documents and select the Confirm Read if required.
