SIL Code Replacement Tool
We’ve introduced a new tool in Brevity to help you prepare for the NDIS SIL code transition effective from Jul 1, 2026.
What’s changing?
NDIS SIL support item codes are moving from the 0115 format to the new 0138 format. The SIL Code Replacement Tool helps you update affected SIL service types and related claim code references in bulk, instead of editing each record manually.
What the tool does
The SIL Code Replacement Tool updates existing SIL configuration in one step to support the new NDIS code structure.
Service Type codes — updates the code pattern from
_0115_to_0138_Claim/Rate codes — updates associated funding source price list names to match the new code format
Important: Run this tool only after all invoicing up to Jun 30, 2026 has been completed.
This change is permanent and cannot be reversed. Claims submitted with old SIL codes after Jul 1, 2026 are expected to fail with NDIS. If you run the tool before finalising your June invoicing, it may affect historical claim processing.
Before you begin
Finish all invoicing and claim preparation for services up to Jun 30, 2026
Ensure your team is ready to begin using the new SIL codes from Jul 1, 2026
Review any internal billing or claiming processes that reference older SIL code patterns
Please note: Because the update is permanent, we recommend completing this change only when you are ready to move fully to the new code set.
How to use the tool
In Brevity, go to Administration > Change Service Type.
Click the SIL code migration tool link on that page.
Review the list of service types containing the old
_0115_code pattern.Select the service types you want to update using the checkboxes.
Tick the confirmation checkbox: I understand this will update my SIL codes permanently.
Apply the update. Your selected codes will be changed immediately.
After the update
After running the tool, review your updated service type records and confirm the code pattern now displays _0138_.
Check that the correct service types were updated
Confirm related claim/rate code references now align with the new naming
Use the updated codes for SIL claims from Jul 1, 2026 onward
Best practice: Perform the update after your end-of-June invoicing is complete and before processing new-period SIL claims, so your transition is clean and controlled.
