Build a Product Dashboard
This page provides a guide to building a Product Dashboard.
Prior to building your dashboard, it is recommended that you have outlined the structure and order in which the information will be presented to system users who will interact with the dashboard through the UI. Additionally, you're encouraged to visit the Brevity Academy and refresh yourself with the dashboard builder training video and supporting guide.
Refer to the steps outlined in the Add a Product Dashboard topic.
In the product’s system setup component, select Dashboard from the Manage menu to display the Manage Dashboard List.
Click the Build Dashboard button within the actions column.
Drag and drop the objects listed to the right of the form onto the Dashboard Builder canvas.
SectionDrag and drop the section element onto the design canvas.Specify the section name.Specify the number of group header columns, which must be between 1 and 3.Save the placement and settings.Please note that the existing dashboard form will not preserve the section configured on the form if it has not been configured with Group Headers and Charts, an iframe element, or record views.
Group HeaderDrag and drop the group header element into the Section on the design canvas. The number of group headers will be determined by the number of columns set when the section was configured onto the form.Specify the Group name.Save the placement and settings.Please note that the existing dashboard form will not preserve the Group configured on the form if it has not been configured with Group Headers and Charts, an iframe element, or record views.
ChartsDrag and drop from the listing of charts into the Group Header.To remove a chart that has been added, select and click the Keyboard DELETE key.
ViewsSelect from the drop-down the table to which the view is applicable.Drag and drop a table view from the listing into the Group Header.To remove a view that has been added, select and click the Keyboard DELETE key.Click the SAVE FORM button.
