Build a Product Table Form

This page provides a guide to creating a Table Form.

Prior to building your form, it is recommended that you have penciled out the structure and order in which the information fields will be presented to system users accessing the form through the UI. Additionally, you're encouraged to visit the Brevity Academy and refresh yourself with the form builder training video and supporting guide.

In the product’s system setup component, select Table from the Manage menu to display the Create Tables List.
Search for the table against which the Form Tab will be assigned.
Click the Forms button to display the table form list
Click the Build Form button to display the form design canvas.
Drag and drop the objects listed to the right of the form onto the design form canvas.

Section
Drag and drop the section element onto the design canvas.
Specify the section name.
Specify the number of group header columns, which must be between 1 and 3.
Save the placement and settings.
Please note that the existing form will not preserve the section configured on the form.

Group Header
Drag and drop the group header element into the Section on the design canvas. The number of group headers will be determined by the number of columns set when the section was configured onto the form.
Specify the Group name.
Save the placement and settings.
Please note that the existing form will not preserve the Group configured on the form if field elements have not been dropped into the group header.
Group headers are displayed as tabs in the form shown to the system user via the UI.

Fields
Drag and drop the fields into the relevant group header.
Adjust position by dragging up or down.

View
Drag and drop either the foreign key view or view into the relevant group header.
Adjust position by dragging up or down.
Upon completion of form configuration, click the SAVE FORM button. Exiting the form without saving will result in your configuration activities being abandoned.
