Delivering Non-Face-to-Face, Telehealth or Irregular SIL Supports in Brevity

NDIS has made provision for Non-Face-to-Face, Telehealth Supports and Irregular SIL Supports. These need to reported accordingly. This article explains how to setup these service types in Brevity if you provide these services, so they are reported correctly during the claim process.

You will need to have the appropriate administration or super user access to perform some of the setup actions mentioned in this article

Instructions

The following tasks will be covered in this article

  1. Creating the Service Type records for claiming Non-Face-to-Face, Telehealth Supports or Irregular SIL Supports

  2. Linking the Service Types to the Client Funding

  3. Creating shifts for these service types

  4. Reviewing how these are reported on the claim file

Creating Non-Face-to-Face, Telehealth Supports or Irregular SIL Supports Service Types

The Non-Face-to-Face, Telehealth Supports and Irregular SIL Supports need to be set on the service type in Brevity. The easiest way to enable these is to duplicate an existing service type, change the claim type, and name the new service type accordingly.

  1. To duplicate the service type navigate to Administration > 3. Service Types, search for the line item that you will use to claim against, then double-click to open the record.

  2. Once created, use the Create Copy button on the toolbar to create a copy of the Service Type. This will duplicate and open the newly created record.

  3. On the newly created record, change the Claim Type field to have the required value based on the claim needs to be reported. Also, change the Name of the record to include the claim type for easy identification when adding to the Client Funding or Rostering.

  4. Save the Service Type record

Linking new Service Type to the Client Funding

You will need to link the newly created Service Type to the Client Funding before you are able to roster against it. This also ensures you are providing this service to only Clients you have agreed to do so. Please refer to the following guide on how to add the Service Type to the Client Funding record.

Creating Shifts for Service Type

Once the Service Type is linked to the Client Funding it can be used to roster as you would normally.

Service Type Reporting

These services will then get reported correctly both on the bulk claim file and on invoices to Plan Managers and Self-Managed participants.
