Introduction
Employee position records within Brevity are accessed through the Administration>13. Employee position menu. The employee position is used map qualification records that are in turn reflected as the employee compliance records listed within the compliance check data grid on the employee profile.

Create an Employee Position record
To create an employee position record observe the following steps:
Select the Administration>13. Employee Position menu to open Employee Position list page within the browser.
Select the New button to open a Employee Position page.
Within the code field input a value that will identify a code with the employee position record.
Within the name field input the description of the employee position record that will reflected within the position field of the employee (user) record.
Within the Min Shift Length field either retain the default of 0.00 or specify the minimum number of hours applicable for the position that will be paid when an employee identified with this position is rostered to a client service.
Select the save button to create the record and to allow for qualification records to be assigned into the Required Qualifications data grid. Refer to the following topic Linking Qualifications.
Select the Close button to exit back to the employee position list page.
Editing an Employee Position record
To edit an employee position record observe the following steps:
Select the Administration>13. Employee Position menu to open employee position list page within the browser.
Search for the Employee Position record from within the employee position list.
Highlight the employee position record to be edited.
Either click on the edit button or double click on the employee position record to open it within the Employee Position page.
Edit the Employee Position record.
Update either the code or description field(s).
Link or Unlink Qualification records.
Select the save button to update the record.
Select the Close button to exit back to the employee position list page.
Deleting an Employee Position record
Although not recommended, and you are referred to the notes on record deactivation. Deleting an employee position record will delete all compliance records from the compliance check data grid on the employee profile that are related with the assigned employee position value.
To delete an employee position record observe the following steps:
Select the Administration>13. Employee Position menu to open Employee Position List page within the browser.
Search for the record from within the employee position list.
Highlight the employee position record to be deleted.
Select the "Delete Button" in the upper right portion of the window.
Select the OK button to confirm the deletion of the selected record. Record listing will refresh.
Portal Settings
Portal settings determine how a support coordinator will interact with client services, progress notes and funding profiles that are not specific with Support Coordination within the Self Service Portal.

Portal Settings
Field options within the Portal Settings tab include
Colour: This feature is currently not in use
Restrict Service Types : This field is used to determine whether service types are restricted from the employee within the self-service portal for session creation.
Restrict Notes and Funding: This field determines whether clients notes and funding should be hidden for restricted service types.
Portal Settings Record grid : This record grid lists the service types that will be available for session (shift) creation.
Service Type Restrictions
The service restrictions that are defined within the Portal Settings record grid, require also a companion restriction set within the Qualification Restriction record grid of the service type record.
Service type restrictions will influence the services listed within the Service field of the portal Add Shift page
