This page provides an outline on how News items and events published by admin user can be reviewed through the Brevity Care web application

Introduction

The News feed page is presented when a staff member logs into Brevity Care web application. The Feeds page enables staff members to view active News and Events, created by the organisations system administrator. The page also enables staff members to interact with the feed by acknowledging they have read it, liked it, reviewed attachments or assigned comments.


Navigating the Feeds Page

The fields and labels that comprise the Feeds page include:

  1. Feed Type: This area of the feed displays whether the feed is related to News or an Event. This type is setup by the publisher.

  2. Featured: This area of the feed displays whether the feed is featured or not. A featured feed gets pinned to the top of the feed listing page. If there are multiple featured feeds then, the latest one gets pinned to the top.

  3. Read: This area of the feed displays will flag that the staff member has read the feed by selected the CONFIRM READ button.

  4. Feed Details: This area of the feed displays the feed heading, associated description and pictures related to the feed. You can click anywhere on the feed details section to open the particular feed. This area of the feed can also be used to display a picture associated with the feed.

  5. Publisher: This area of the feed displays the name of feed publisher along with the publish date and time.

  6. Like: This area of the feed displays, allows the to like the feed by tapping on the heart symbol. Liked feed will set the heart color to red.

  7. Confirm Read: If there is a required read, the application will ask you to confirm that the feed has been read. Confirmation that the feed has been read records your details as you have read the particular feed.

  8. Documents: This area of the feed displays any attached documents associated with the feed.

  9. Message Stream: This area of the feed lists the messages raised.

  10. Comments: This area of the feed allows the Support Worker to type comments for the feed. Select the SEND link to publish a comment.

  11. Like: This area of the feed allows the Support Worker to the like the feed.

 


Reviewing a feed

To review a feed observe the following steps:

  1. Access the Brevity Care web application using your login credentials.

    On login you will be presented with the Feeds page.

  2. Select the Newsfeed or Event that you would like to review.

  3. Review the feed and any attached documents and select the Confirm Read button if required.

  4. To contribute to the feed or leave a comment, input your text into the Add Comment feed, and select the SEND link.
