Updating the SIL Rostered Employee
Updating an employees rostered SIL shifts will be undertaken through the Schedule Board. To roster a staff member of a SIL service observe the following steps.

Click the Schedule Board icon.

Set the date range on the schedule board to correspond with the SIL service period that is to be amended.

Click the By Group schedule view to display a listing of SIL services.

Input the details of the SIL service into the search field, if required, to filter down the list of SIL services displayed within the schedule board.

Click the SIL Roster icon to present the weekly SIL template.

Click the UNLOCK button to open the SIL Template for editing.

Edits to the weekly template include:Depending on the duration of SIL Services that have been added onto the schedule board you have the option to assign changes to one or more SIL service weeks. To apply individual changes to your organisations weekly SIL services, utilise the date range to move through individual SIL weekly services.

Ensure all changes made to the template are saved by clicking the SAVE button.

Relock the SIL template by clicking the LOCK button.
Click the CLOSE button to exit back to the Schedule Board.
Removing one or more rostered services for the week from an employee
To remove or more rostered services for the SIL week for an employee observe steps 1 - 10 in the topic Updating the SIL Rostered Employee. Select the cell listing the employee’s rostered period that is to be removed, as denoted by the YES and click the keyboard delete key.

For any additional rostered periods that need to be removed either repeat as listed above or highlight the period that will be unrostered and drag you mouse out across consecutively rostered periods, as shown below

Adding one of more rostered services for the week to an employee
To assign additional rostered services for the SIL week for an employee observe steps 1 - 10 in the topic Updating the SIL Rostered Employee. To roster a period click into the period and select YES from the drop down down list.
Assign a new employee and roster SIL services
To assign additional rostered services for the SIL week for an employee observe steps 1 - 10 in the topic Updating the SIL Rostered Employee.
With the template unlocked click the ADD STAFF button.

Click the days that are being rostered into the SIL template.

Select from the Start Time field the commencement time of roster.

Select from the End Time field the cessation time of the roster.

Search for and select the staff that are to be assigned into the roster.

Click the SELECT Button to update the SIL template with the rostered staff as shown in the above. The employees rostered periods will be denoted with the YES.
Remove an existing employee from the weekly SIL roster
To remove an existing employee from the SIL roster for one or more days observe steps 1 - 10 in the topic Updating the SIL Rostered Employee. Ensure you remove the employees rostered periods by selecting the cell listing the employee’s rostered period, as denoted by the YES and click the keyboard delete key.

For the remaining rostered periods that need to be removed highlight the period that has been unrostered and drag you mouse out across consecutively rostered periods, as shown below

Ensure you click the SAVE button to refresh the SIL Roster, you will observe the employee has been removed on refresh of the SIL Shift.
Reassign rostered SIL service to for one or more days another employee
To reassign an existing SIL service to another employee observe steps 1 - 10 in the topic Updating the SIL Rostered Employee. Within the client column click in to present a drop down list from which you can make the appropriate EMPLOYEE NAME selection. Ensure you click the SAVE button to refresh the SIL Roster.
Marking one or more SIL services unassigned
To reassign an existing SIL service to another employee observe steps 1 - 10 in the topic Updating the SIL Rostered Employee. Within the client column click in to present a drop down list and select the UNASSIGNED value. Ensure you click the SAVE button to refresh the SIL Roster.
Placing one or more SIL services as being on offer (published)
To reassign an existing SIL service to another employee observe steps 1 - 10 in the topic Updating the SIL Rostered Employee. Within the client column click in to present a drop down list and select the ON OFFER value.

Publishing SIL services availability is managed through the Schedule Board and will arise either due to the absence of or the need for additional care service staff on a SIL service. To complete this activity select the SIL service that has availability periods that need to be rostered, followed by clicking the Publish Shift Availability icon to display the Staff to Publish Shifts to.

Make sure to identify whether the reported shift period is a whole or partial shift. If you’re making a partial shift available, you'll need to set a new time period using the Add Shift Start/End Time form. Click the +/- icon located below the Shift Time field, and ensure that the adjusted time period is saved to make it available for selection in the shift time field.
Select the care service staff that will be offered the service, followed by clicking the PUBLISH SHIFTS button.
