Introduction
Tasking within Brevity enables improved collaboration between staff when they are required to work remotely in the delivery of supports and services to the participant. Task functionality within the Brevity Self-Service portal allows for tasks to be both assigned, as well as to allow for staff to schedule Tasks to themselves.
Tasks listed through the Tasks page will reflect those that have been be created through either or both the Brevity Self Service portal and Brevity Care web application.

Create Task
To create a new task through the Brevity Self-Service portal, observe the steps as outlined below:
Access the Brevity Self Service portal using your allocated login credentials.
Click the Task Menu to open the task panel.
Select the All Tasks icon
Within the Task Name field input the title of the task.
Within the Task Details field input in the description of the task.
From the status field select the task status from the drop down list. This can be Not Started, In Progress or Completed.
Within the Start date field specify the expected start date of the task. Specify the date as free text input or selected from the date picker.
Within the Due date field specify the expected completion date of the task. Specify the date as free text input or selected from the date picker.
From the Assigned to field select the staff member from the drop down list that is responsible for completing the task. Staff will only see tasks assigned to them in the list. The only exception is Client related tasks, which will show for all staff allocated to work with the Client where the Assigned To is not set.
Select the UPLOAD button to attach one or more files to the task.
Select the sub tasks icon to attach one or more sub task lines to the task. Within each sub task that you add, input the particulars of the task.
Within the Comments field input ongoing comments related with the task.
Click Send button
Editing Tasks
To edit a task through the Brevity Self-Service portal, observe the steps as outlined below::
Access the Brevity Self Service portal using your allocated login credentials.
Click the Task Menu to open the task panel.
Scroll to the task within the task panel that is to be edited.
Click on the task that needs to update, to open the Task Details Panel to the right of the page.
Edit the particulars of the task detail which can include as follows:

Adding additional sub-tasks
✴Adjusting the due date
✴Updating the status to completed
✴Add a comment to the task
✴Upload an attachment
Deleting Tasks
Brevity does not allow for the deletion of tasks. Setting the task status to completed will set the task to an inactive status.
